Eastwood Chinese Senior Citizen’s Club to benefit from returned Liberal Government

Eastwood will benefit from a re-elected Turnbull Coalition Team with the announcement today of a $2,700 commitment to the renowned Eastwood Chinese Senior Citizen’s Club.

Local Bennelong Member of Parliament John Alexander MP announced this commitment that will benefit the local community.

“As Federal Member for Bennelong I am very proud to represent the electorate with the largest population of Chinese-Australians. The Eastwood Chinese Senior Citizen’s Club is an essential part of our Bennelong community, bringing together the Chinese community in Eastwood. They hold weekly events which celebrate the Chinese culture while helping migrants to stay active and involved in their new Australian home.”

“This project will allow them to update their office facilities to allow them to organise these events with much more ease. This is essential to the group continuing to be the glue that binds our community together,” John Alexander said.

“Bennelong’s greatest asset is our diverse multicultural community. Key to this success is robust local groups like the Eastwood Chinese Senior Citizens Club. I would like to thank Hugh Lee and his many members for everything they do for our Chinese community, and for the great strength they provide our local Bennelong region.”

“The Turnbull Coalition Team is dedicated to building stronger communities across Australia. We understand that by investing in projects such as this one, we help grow a more vibrant and viable local community for all Australians.”
