Five young Australians, aged 18-30, are being sought to represent Australia as Y20 Youth delegates.
A youth summit will be held in Sydney from July 12-15 this year, as part of Australia’s presidency of the G20.
John Alexander, the federal member for Bennelong, said “this is the official platform for young people to engage in policy discussions on pressing global economic challenges and an opportunity to generate ideas which will be presented to the G20 Leaders when they meet again in November.
“The main areas of discussion will focus on growth and jobs – particularly in the areas of youth unemployment and sustainable economic development,” said Mr Alexander.
Delegations will consist of five young people from each G20 member state – applications close on February 21st, 2014.
