The Stronger Communities Programme which is delivering $150,000 in grants to ‘not for profit’ groups across Bennelong is set to close on the 20th October, so Member of Bennelong John Alexander MP is urging groups wishing to apply to do so quickly.
Grants through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme are available to local organisations to fund tangible new infrastructure projects within Bennelong to deliver positive social benefits.
Funding amounts between $5,000 and $20,000 are available and must be matched (either dollar for dollar or in-kind) by the applicant or another source.
John Alexander said: “The Stronger Community Programme Grants have been very popular locally, with a large number of groups and organisations contacting my office to apply. But with $150,000 to give out across Bennelong, I wouldn’t want any of our fantastic local organisations to miss out.”
“This federal funding will improve local participation and cohesion, and contribute to develop an even more vibrant Bennelong community.”
“For more information email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with a rough outline of your proposal or call me on 9869 4288 if you have any questions.”
“Applications close on the 20th October, so don’t delay!”
