Ryde Rotary, State MP for Ryde, Victor Dominello MP and Federal MP for Bennelong John Alexander joined forces to take part in “Graffiti Removal Day”, a campaign to remove graffiti from Bennelong on Sunday 18th October.
Graffiti costs local businesses, households, NSW Government and Ryde Council millions of dollars each year.
Graffiti removal day draws attention to the widespread problem of Graffiti vandalism across NSW and encourages people to get involved in the removal and prevention of Graffiti.
John Alexander said: “This was a great event with people turning up across Sydney to join in the fight against graffiti and make a real difference to the appearance of our local community.”
“I was delighted to take part with my good friend Victor Dominello MP and the excellent volunteers on Ryde Rotary. Lane Cove Road between Quarry and Bridge road is now free of graffiti, as are many other sites around Bennelong.”
“I congratulate Rotary, the NSW Government all the sponsors who made this possible. But I would especially like to thank all the volunteers who came out on the day to make our area look even more beautiful.”
